What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is one of the oldest therapies mentioned in ancient texts and is
also one of the newest to be accepted by medical science. Paracelsus (1493 -
1541) developed a theory of magnetic power to explain cures wrought by
suggestion (hypnosis) and Mesmer (1734 - 1815)
further asserted the presence of an invisible fluid that pervades and
envelopes all human beings. He named it animal magnetism and popularized
hypnosis through many spectacular cures. Later proponents of hypnosis were Abbe Faria, James Braid,
Joseph Bruer and Carl Jung.
Hypnosis has been widely studied as an adjunct to
medicine in surgery and dentistry as well as it obvious psychotherapeutic
role. It has been used as an
effective tool in the resolution of issues such as mental and emotional
trauma, anxiety, phobias and confidence issues, as well as the elimination
of destructive habits. My Guild, The National Guild of Hypnotists,
makes it is clear that the
hypnotist is a teacher, a motivator, a coach and a guide whose goal is to
assist persons in resolving normal problems of living. A hypnotist is not a
“Junior Psychologist.” The work of a hypnotist is
non-therapeutic in nature, as hypnotists do not engage in the independent
diagnosis and treatment of medical or mental disease.
Most authorities agree that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Perhaps better
than the word “hypnotist” would be “hypnotic guide.” The hypnotist simply
guides the client into the state called hypnosis and suggests techniques
that will allow the client to access his or her natural abilities to change
the way he or she thinks, feels or behaves. The mind is a universe that you
can explore safely. In a session with me, you and I will first discuss your
goals: whether relaxation, interacting with your spiritual guide or advisor,
meeting your power animal or exploring past lives. I'll then guide you into
a light altered-state and provide a secure framework for you to comfortably
interact with your astral surroundings.
Is Hypnosis safe?
The general consensus is a resounding YES. The process of Hypnosis leads
the client to go along with the suggestions. If you, the client, choose not
to relax, or go to the meadow, or look at the picture on the wall, there is
no way for me to compel you to do so. You can not be made to do anything
against your will or your moral and ethical codes. I take my role as guide
seriously and try to point out what I think might be of benefit but a
client will often decide to defer opening a door, or speaking to a
particular astral entity they meet along the way. Ultimately, it is your
trip and you decide what you are there for.

Astrological Consultations: The natal chart is a map of our solar system, as seen
from earth, at the exact date, time and place where you were born. Natal
astrology accurately describes the person born at that particular place and
time. One-on-one discussion of your chart will provide you with an analysis
of your strengths and weaknesses as well as the lessons and goals that you,
as a spiritual being, set for this particular corporeal lifetime. Tarot
cards may also used in clarifying issues and providing insights. Sessions
are available on a one-time or on-going basis depending on your needs. For
your convenience, all sessions can be done at our office or by phone and
can be taped at your request. A printed copy of your chart will be
