In the beginning, mankind and fairy-kind seemed to have coexisted peacefully. There are old stories of fairies giving gifts to newborn humans like in the original Sleeping Beauty. Later, after man began encroaching on the old woods, is when the stories of fairies as tricksters begin. They saw humans as a threat to their homes and did what they could to protect themselves hence the changeling stories, Rip VanWinkle, Rumplestilskin, etc.

I often spend time with the elementals, meeting with them in the astral plane in my meditations. I recently attended a meeting of them. There were 10 or so gnomes or leprechauns, we would call them, sitting at a round table discussing all kinds of matters when one of them, a leprechaun elemental, wearing a brown shirt addressed me personally. He said his name is Erdahl and he is just tired of exile. He says that all the elementals have agreed to go back to the old way of working with humans in order to help heal this planet so that all may live in peace. He said to make a kit for everyone to use in order to to welcome the elementals into our homes.

His instructions are: On every full moon each household should light an incense cone and place it on the hearth of the home.
