The only problem Inga had with
her
250 cc Honda Reflex was passing. It just
didn't have enough roll-on power to complete a pass safely. Inga
and I were riding with our buddy Joe out in the countryside on a
winding two lane road. Joe passed when we came to a passing zone.
I waited for the next passing zone, signaled my intentions,
downshifted my VFR750 and hammered it as I did not want to dawdle.
I flew up the road completely focused on the task at hand and it
was not until I had pulled back in that I could check my mirrors
to see if Inga was going to try it next. I was a bit shocked to
see that she had come with me!
At our next break,
I asked her if she enjoyed that high speed pass and she grinned. I
asked if she saw how fast we were going and she said 92 mph.
How did the Silver Wing handle at that speed? "Smooth as
silk."
This is a remarkable motorcycle. The
combination of handling, easy to use power and comfort is amazing.
It is the ultimate commuter bike plus is it top notch for touring
and day rides. It is an absolute joy to ride. It's Honda's best
super scooter ever and Inga should know. She's owned all three of
them.

At what point can you no longer call
it a scooter?
-
Yes, it has floorboards and an
automatic transmission but...
-
The motor is a
582 cc, fuel
injected, double overhead cam, 4 valves per cylinder, parallel
twin and it produces amazing, highly usable power.
-
Top
speed = 110 mph at which point the rev limiter kicks
in.
-
50
horsepower and 34 ft/lbs of torque
-
Built-in
trunk has a 55 liter capacity. (see below)

Real
comfort: After a 200 mile day, Inga felt great and I,
having ridden my VFR750, a sport touring bike, needed
a hot tub and a chiropractor!
