Chakras
| Chakra is the sanskrit word for wheel. It refers to the seven major energy centers that operate within the body. There are more energy points both within and without but we'll concern ourselves with the seven "classical" chakras. Chakras are usually visualized as discs or orbs located within the body. When all the discs appear clean and whirling, then the body's energy system is said to be balanced. When a chakra appears blocked or darkened, energy flow is affected. Impaired energy flow obviously affects the body physically as well as emotionally. The condition of the chakras tells much about one's habits and habitual beliefs.
